The InBody scan goes beyond traditional body composition analysis measuring fat, muscle and total body water. Total body water data can be divided into intracellular water and extracellular water, values important for understanding a user’s fluid distribution in medical, wellness and fitness contexts.


InBody device use a method called Bio-electrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) to measure body composition, which divides your weight into different components such as lean body mass and fat mass to assess health and nutrition. Non invasive testing with safe low-level currents, are sent through the body via hand and foot electrodes. The impedance, the currents encountered are measured in order to derive body composition.


InBody solution; Direct segmental multi-frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis (DSM-BIA) views the human body as five cylinders: left arm, right arm, left leg, right leg and the torso. Provides independent measurements for each cylinder to provide accurate measurements for the entire body. Each test will print out a full-page results sheet detailing the muscle, fat, and water values of the user. Provides you with lean mass and fat values in each segment of your body to give you proper assessment of your body composition. Identify how many kg of lean mass are in each body segment. This can be used to determine how specific diets and exercises are affecting the body composition. Identify and track inflammation, swelling and even joint injuries with ECW/TBW Analysis. Monitor these changes over time in the Body Composition History chart.
